1. Aesthesiometric Index (Two Points)

The Aesthesiometric Index is a test that is used to test the minimal distance between two points on the skin that can be stimulated separately. Imagine if two points on the skin are touched separately, they would be registered by your brain as two different points of contact. This is true as long as the two points are far apart. But as we bring the points closer, we would reach a stage where the two points would become indistinguishable. This minimum distance of separation is called the Aesthesiometric Index. 2. Pass Along Test

The pass along test is used to measure the intelligence of people between the ages of 7 to 20 years. The subject moves blocks along a tray to match a predetermined design.

3. Block Design Test

The Block Design Test measures a subject’s visuospatial and visuoconstructive abilities. These abilities help us read time on a clock, set up clocks with accurate time, read maps and find correct directions while navigating. The performance of individuals in this test declines with age, with younger individuals performing better than older individuals.

4. Cube Construction

This is a test of spatial ability, where subjects need to perform cube rotation tasks mentally. It is a subjective test where the test individual creates his or her own answer to the computerized test. It is a spatial ability test that measures abstract intelligence through the folding and unfolding, construction and deconstruction of cubes in blank 3D space.

5. Locus of control test (1 unit)

People who believe that they can control their lives by themselves and that their own actions primarily determine what happens to them in the future, are said to believe in intrinsic factors of control and they are said to have an internal locus of control. When people believe that external factors or instances, such as luck, control their lives and the consequences thereon, the person is said to have an external locus of control. They believe that external factors have a greater influence on their life, than internal factors. The test consists of a set of questions that the subject needs to answer. This leads to the calculation of a score, that tells the evaluator, whether the subject holds an internal or external locus of control.

6. Self confidence Inventory (Hindi) by K.N. Sharma (1 unit)

Helps identify self-esteem areas, especially in young adults, that need improvement. It is also a questionnaire that needs to be answered by the subject, consisting of 25 statements that the individual can compare themselves to. It has a gradient from 1 to 4 on the answer scale and the subject may return later to retake the test. This will show them if they have made improvements.

7. Bell Adjustment Inventory (Hindi adaptation) (1 unit)

This test consists of 124 items. The inventory measures 4 different dimensions of adjustment such as Home, Health, Social and Emotional and another dimension separately, named Overall. Home adjustment is expressed in terms of satisfaction or dissatisfaction with home life. Health Adjustment, in the terms of shyness, submission, introversion, Emotional adjustment in terms of depression, nervousness etc. High Score in the inventory indicates low adjustment and vice versa.

8. Thematic Apperception Test (Mehrotra) (1 unit)

The Thematic Apperception Test, also known as TAT, is a projective test that focuses on the subconscious dynamics of a person’s personality. The test uses ambiguous pictures and was created in the 1930s by Henry A. Murray and Christina D. Morgan to understand a person’s subconscious motives in relation to achievements, power, and intimacy.

9. Rorschach Test (1 unit)

The Rorschach test, also known as the inkblot test, is a psychological test that involves showing people a series of inkblots and asking them to describe what they see. The test is used to assess personality traits, emotional functioning, and thought disorders.

10. Word Association Test (1 unit)

The word association test uses a person’s ability to associate words with tangible phenomena. When a word is assigned to the person, they are requested to write down the first thoughts that come to them. This allows evaluators to understand the psychology and cognitive function of the person.
